Rebranding

Meteor will be called Eir from September

There will be no change to contracts or mobile plans for customers.

METEOR IS OFFICIALLY rebranding as Eir.

For the last 12 years, Meteor has been a standalone brand within the Eir Group. The rebranding will take place in September.

Eir is Ireland’s largest telecommunications company.

Speaking about the rebranding, Eir CEO Richard Moat said: “The transition will be seamless, and Meteor customers will continue using their mobiles exactly as before.

“By focusing on a single mobile brand and reducing the duplication of supporting two brands, we can offer better value and increased innovation.”

In a statement, Eir said there will be no change to contracts or mobile plans for Meteor customers. Customer care helpline numbers will also remain the same.

Customers will receive an email or text message informing them of the change, and more information is available on the Meteor and Eir websites.
