Don't have Windows 10 yet? You're going to start seeing full-screen reminders now
Microsoft will stop offering its free upgrade for free on 29 July and is going for one last push.

MICROSOFT HAS MADE no secret that it wants people to upgrade to Windows 10, having used many different ways – some less pleasing than others – as a way to convince you.

Now with there only being a month left before its free upgrade ends, it will now start pushing a full-screen reminder that will ask you to install Windows 10.

You will have the option to upgrade now, remind later, notify you three more times or ask it not to notify you again.

The reminder says:
Microsoft recommends upgrading to Windows 10 – the most secure Windows ever built. The upgrade is free and you can easily roll-back to your current operating system within 31 days if you decide Windows 10 is not right for you. We’ll check for compatibility before starting the upgrade.

The reminder doesn’t appear if you have selected the option ‘Do not notify me again’, your PC is incompatible with Windows 10, you’ve uninstalled it, or you have hidden or disabled the upgrade.

Since it launched almost a year ago, there are more than 300 million people running Windows 10 with the aim to have one billion devices running it within three years of launch.

The upgrade is free for those using Windows 7 or 8.1 but after 29 July, the upgrade will cost €135.
