GARDAÍ HAVE THANKED the public for its assistance, after a missing Dublin man was found safe and well.

The man had gone missing from the Dublin 8 area on Thursday, and gardaí issued a public appeal for information on his whereabouts earlier today.

He has since been found safe and well.
