Man arrested in connection with Dublin pedestrian death

Gardaí said they are still appealing for witnesses to the incident to come forward.

GARDAí INVESTIGATING THE death of a man at the junction of Nassau Street and Dawson Street yesterday evening have arrested a man.

The man in his late 20s is being detained at Pearse Street Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.

Yesterday a man was fatally injured after he fell or was pushed onto the road and was struck by a passing bus. He was pronounced dead at the scene and Gardaí said they were treating his death as “suspicious”.

This afternoon Gardaí said they are still appealing for witnesses in relation to the incident to contact Pearse Street Garda station on 01 – 666 9000, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda station.
