THE LONDON OLYMPICS get under way this evening with the much anticipated opening ceremony taking place tonight.
Team Ireland begins its quest for medal glory in sports including rowing, swimming, cycling and boxing tomorrow with much hope for flag bearer and World Champion boxer Katie Taylor that she will take gold when she begins her Olympics on 5 August.
The medal table produced by the Financial Times says that Ireland will win three medals at the games – which is as many as we won last time – while Sports Illustrated believes that Taylor will win gold and that bantamweight boxer John Joe Nevin will take a bronze meaning two medals in total for Ireland at the 2012 Games.
But we want to know what you think, how many medals will Ireland win at London 2012?
