Pizza delivery driver hijacked while making deliveries

He was threatened by two men with knives.

A PIZZA DELIVERY car was hijacked in the early hours of this morning.

The driver was threatened by two men with knives while making deliveries.

It happened at the Milford Place area of west Belfast shortly before 1:30am.

The driver of the silver Mazda 5 was not injured but he was left badly shaken.

The men drove off from the scene towards the Springfield Road area.

Inspector Paul Noble said, ”Anyone with any information about this incident is asked to contact CID in Woodbourne Police Station on the non-emergency number 101.

“Or if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details, they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
