ESB restore power in Dublin city centre following outage

Many post-match revelers were left in the dark when the power failed at around 7.30pm.

ESB CREWS REPAIRED a power outage in Dublin’s city centre tonight which affected over 900 customers.

The biggest outage was in the Bedford Row area, right in the centre of the city, where many revelers were enjoying a post-match beverage.

At the Olympia Theatre on Dame Street, musician Foy Vance could not be stopped by a power outage and decided to move his gig outside.

“Some of the audience at the gig are gone to watch him outside and some are still sitting waiting for the power to come back on in darkness,” one spectator told TheJournal.ie

On the company’s Power Check website, the ESB apologised for the loss of supply.
