Quiz: Do you know how many calories are in food?

Mmmmm. Food.

IT WAS ANNOUNCED this week that restaurants and takeaways are going to have to put their calories counts on their menus.

Good idea? Bad idea? We’ll see how it goes. But in the mean time, how would you fare in guessing how many calories are ten every day food items?

Helpful hint: Men need on average 2,500 calories a day, while women need 2,000. This varies a lot depending on height, weight and activity, but may be useful information.
