Man dies in road crash this morning in Waterford

Diversions are in place on the N25 where the crash happened.

A MAN IN his late 20s died in a road traffic accident this morning in Waterford.

The collision between a car and a truck happened on the N25 past Kilmacthomas at about 7.50am.

The man was the sole occupant of the car, and was pronounced dead at the scene. His body was taken to University Hospital in Waterford.

The driver of the truck did not require any medical attention.

Diversions have been put in place for the forensic collision investigators who are on the scene.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to contact Tramore Garda Station on 051 391 620, or the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666111 or any Garda Station.
