Young woman killed in two-car crash in Wexford

The road has been closed to allow a forensic collision investigation at the scene and diversions are in place.

A WOMAN HAS been killed after a two-car collision between Gorey and Wexford this morning.

The woman in her 20s, who was the sole occupant of the car, died after the collision on the R741 at Raheenaskeagh, north of the junction for Oulart village.

The sole occupant of the second car was taken to Wexford Regional Hospital where he is described as having serious injuries.

The road has been closed to allow a forensic collision investigation at the scene and diversions are in place.

Gardaí say this is likely to be the case until this evening.
