Search for camogie captain resumes in Antrim

Karen Coyles, 47, has not been seen since Sunday evening, when she returned to Ballycastle from Dublin after captaining the winning All-Ireland Sevens team.

A SEARCH FOR a camogie captain who went missing in Antrim on Sunday, hours after an All-Ireland victory, is resuming this morning.

Forty-seven year old Karen Coyles has not been seen since Sunday evening, when she arrived back to Ballycastle from Dublin after captaining the winning team in the All -Ireland Camogie Sevens tournament.

BBC reports that she failed to show up for work at the University of Ulster in Coleraine on Monday morning, and that her car was found parked outside the camogie club in Ballycastle on Monday morning.

According to the Irish News hundreds of people have taken part in a search for Karen Coyles, and that search has resumed this morning. Police helicopters and the coastguard have joined the local community in looking for any trace of her. Her disappearance is said to be very out of character.
