Search still on for missing prisoners

The prison service is carrying out a full security review of the Roscommon prison from where they disappeared.

GARDAÍ ARE STILL searching for the brothers who went missing from Castlerea Prison on Monday

The prison service said that it is carrying out its own investigation and a full security review of the prison in the wake of the incident.

The search has now entered its fourth day after the brothers disappeared from the open prison and gardaí confirmed that the search is on-going.

No photographs of the brothers, Vasile (29) and Toader (23) Feier, have been released to the media.

The Romanian nationals were both serving sentences of almost two years for breaking into parking meters in Galway city.

They have Dublin addresses. The men reportedly left a note saying “Sorry, we had no choice” in their cell before they left the prison.
