Seventh person arrested over murder of Ger McMahon

McMahon, 43, was found lying fatally stabbed outside a home in Limerick.

A SEVENTH PERSON has been arrested over the murder of Ger McMahon, who died after being found with multiple stab wounds outside a house in Limerick.

Gardaí took a 44-year-old man into custody today, and he is currently being held at Roxboro Road garda station.

Mr McMahon, 43, was discovered lying outside the door of the house on Lenihan Avenue in Ballinacurra Weston shortly after midnight on January 18. He had been stabbed, and was pronounced dead after being taken to Mid Western Regional Hospital.

In total, seven people have now been arrested in connection with the murder. Two brothers, Sean and Ian Flanaghan, were charged over the death at Limerick District Court yesterday afternoon.

The pair were remanded in custody until Tuesday.
