EUROPE IS IN financial turmoil – and the taxpayer has been left with the bill.

Demonstrations have taken place across the EU with staggering turnouts: yesterday alone over one million people downed tools in France and took to the streets to protest against pension reform.

We’ve taken a look at recent protests against austerity measures in France, Spain, Greece, Belgium and Ireland.
