TWO MEN IN their 50s were arrested today on suspicion of sexual offences as part of the investigation surrounding Jimmy Savile.
Metropolitan Police Officers, working on Operation Yewtree, arrested a 53-year-old man at around 8.00 am in Hampshire and he was taken into custody locally for questioning.
The second man, 59, was arrested at midday in west London and brought to a London police station.
Both individuals fall under the strand the police have termed ‘others’.
These men are the ninth and tenth people arrested into Operation Yewtreee, which is investigating historic sex offences and centres on allegations against former BBC presenter, Jimmy Savile.
