Two women released following Dublin shopping centre armed robbery

Two men and two women were arrested in connection with an armed robbery on a cash-in-transit van at a Dublin shopping centre over the weekend.

TWO WOMEN HAVE been released without charge following an armed robbery on a cash-in-transit van at a Dublin shopping centre over the weekend.

The two women were arrested along with two men Saturday evening in connection with the robbery of a security employee, who was confronted as he was making a cash collection at the Orwell Shopping Centre in Templeogue at approximately 4.15pm on Saturday afternoon. One of the aggressors had a gun, according to gardaí.

No-one was injured in the robbery.

Gardaí stopped a car in Finglas and arrested two men and two women in the hours following the incident.
