Weather warning issued: gales over 100km expected tomorrow

Yes, folks, there’s another storm headed our way…

THE ROAD SAFETY AUTHORITY has responded to the latest weather warning from Met Éireann by asking road users to take extra care tomorrow.

Met Éireann is warning that “stormy conditions” will affect the country tomorrow throughout the day and night.

Gale force westerly winds with gusts of up to 140km/hr are forecast and could cause structural damage and high seas along the Atlantic coast.

The RSA warns motorists to watch out for falling debris tomorrow and for vehicles veering in the strong winds. It also advises pedestrians and cyclists to exercise more caution when crossing the road or passing near traffic as a gust could blow them into traffic.

Some people may be taking Met Éireann’s latest warning somewhat lightly, given the outcome of last the weekend’s storm warning.
