Wind warning in place for six counties
The warning is in place for Donegal, Galway, Mayo, Sligo, Clare and Kerry.
MET ÉIREANN has issued a status yellow wind warning for six counties today.
The warning is in place for Donegal, Galway, Mayo, Sligo, Clare and Kerry.
Southerly winds with mean speeds of 50 to 65km per hour will gust up to 100km per hour, with coastal areas most affected.
The warning is valid until midnight.
Highest temperatures will reach 16 to 19 degrees Celsius today.
There will be persistent rain in Atlantic counties overnight, particularly towards morning time and scattered outbreaks of rain across the rest of the country.
Met Éireann says tomorrow will be a humid day with outbreaks of rain. The rain will be heaviest early on in the day across the western half of the country, and further east later in the day.
Highest temperatures will reach 17 to 21 degrees Celsius.
