Gardaí renew appeal for witnesses to fatal Killarney collision
A woman was killed in the crash, while an eight-year-old girl was injured.
GARDAÍ HAVE MADE a renewed appeal over a fatal road accident in which a woman was killed and a girl was injured.
Gardaí in Killarney are investigating the fatal, single-vehicle road traffic collision, which occurred on the N72, Killorglin to Killarney road at Ballydowney(2.5km outside Killarney) on 6 January 2014.
They are now renewing their appeal for any witnesses to the collision, or anyone who may have travelled on the Killarney to Killorglin road between 12.10pm and 12. 20pm on 6 January 2014 to contact Killarney Garda Station on 064 6671160.
The female driver of the vehicle (47) was pronounced dead at the scene.
A girl aged 8, who was the only passenger in the vehicle, was transferred to Kerry General Hospital with what is believed to be non life threatening injuries.
