Woman arrested in connection with Dean Johnston murder

This is the seventh arrest in connection with the fatal shooting of the 20-year-old.

A 36-YEAR-OLD woman has been arrested by Gardaí investigating the murder of 20-year-old Dean Johnston last year.

The woman was detained in the Dublin 12 area this morning and remains in custody at Ronanstown Garda Station under section 30 of the Offences against the State Act 1939.

Gardaí in Clondalkin launched a murder investigation after Johnston was shot in a car on Moorfield Avenue on the 25 May. He was taken to Tallaght Hospital but was later pronounced dead.

This is the seventh arrest to be made in relation to the fatal shooting.

Two men, aged 26 and 33, were arrested in connection with the shooting on 21 November and two days later a 24-year-old female was detained by Gardaí.

On 23 November, a 27-year-old man and a 25-year-old man were arrested in West Dublin.
