Woman (22) dies in Cork house fire

Three other people were taken to hospital but have since been discharged.

A 22-YEAR-old woman has died in a house fire in Cork.

Gardaí in Midleton are investigating all the circumstances of the fatal house fire, which occurred at New Cork Road in Midleton at approximately 3.30am today.

A 22-year-old female was pronounced dead at the scene. Three other people were brought to Mercy Hospital Cork and have since been released.

The scene is preserved but gardaí currently believe that there is nothing suspicious about the fatal blaze.
