I really do hope that three of these boys are not from the same family, it would be far too much to take for any parent or sibling. We can be stereotypical and consider the type of car involved, that it was four lads in their twenties and that they were overtaking and thus that it was speeding and possibly poor driving but none of that matters tonight. Ultimately 4 young boys are dead. It’s simply tragic. Let them RIP, and give their families and friends all the strength to get through this.

Not sure if it’s true, but hearing that 3 of them are brothers. How the hell do ya break news like that to a parent? Don’t care who was at fault, there are some very devastated friends and relations out there tonight who need our prayers.

Birth, Night feeds, teething, sleepless nights, first day at school, puberty, leaving cert, college etc. – to go through all that then get the knock on the door from the PP and local guard, as a parent of two young boys does not bear thinking about… So so sad! From the news it does look like road & weather conditions were pretty perfect! Sadly, looks like a 20 year olds piece of overtaking… :-(

This is heart wrenching news. Boys in their 20′s DEAD. As a parent I’d rather die myself than try to take this news in. Extremely sad regardless of the circumstances. May they rest in peace and I hope their parents get through this

Yeah three of them are brothers few of the lads I know from around town that knew them told me.

So so saddened by this news Young lost and parents and family and friends and neighbours all left devastated.Prayers and consideration needed for all concerned and for the emergency services who attended this devastating scene and for the personnel of the Gardai who had to deliver such tragic news to the parents of their loved ones. Nothing will bring back these boys not blame or criticism but let us all show some compassion here for their Patents,Grandparents,Siblings,Cousins Aunts Uncles and all their Friends and say a prayer to give their families the strength to get through the saddest and most devastating time

So sad, an awful phone call or knock on the door to be told three of your sons are dead that is soul destroying… Thoughts nd prayers with the families of those who died nd especially those who were injured..

It’s tragic that such young lives were cut short like this. How many people have to die tragically for everyone to wake up and take caution in their driving. So many irresponsible road users out there. May they rest in peace.

Surely to god its time to put speed limiters on cars insurance companies should. Reward people that put limiters on their cars travelling down the motorway on tue last i was at 120 kmh and was one of the slowest cars on the road. I think its stupid that vehicles can travel at speeds of over 160 klms

dont post but have to express my sincere heartache reading this story. i thought saving private ryan was hard to watch but that was hollywood. rip and god help the parents in this terrible time.

3 brothers i berried my wee brother 14 weeks ago and people sayin god help them you turn ur back on faith how can u live with losin 3 children it destroys a family my thoughts are with them for the road ahead is long heartbreaking and no words mean annything at the min

Dam more people lost their lives especially so young RIP ,RSA needs to improve road safely to save lives .
