GARDAÍ HAVE RELEASED without charge a man who had been arrested in connection with a fatal fire in Tallaght more than 10 years ago.
12-year-old Stephen Hughes Connors was killed at the fire on Rossfield Avenue, Brookfield in Dublin on 1 September 2001.
An investigation had been ongoing since the 10th anniversary of the the fire and gardaí had yesterday arrested a 52-year-old man in the Dublin 7 area in connection with the case after new evidence was brought forward.
The man was released from Tallaght Garda Station in the early hours of this morning.
A file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
