Man arrested in relation to the death of man in Castleknock overnight

The body of the man remains at the scene that has been sealed off.

A MAN IS in custody at Blanchardstown Garda Station following the death of a man at a house in Castleknock, Dublin 15 overnight.

Gardaí were called to the house at Beech Park Avenue at about 1.50am this morning and the body of a man, believed to be in his 30s, was discovered. The man was later pronounced dead at the scene.

A 34-year-old-man also present in the house was arrested by Gardaí and is detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at Blanchardstown Garda Station. He can be detained for up to twenty four hours.

The body of the man remains at scene which has been sealed off and a full technical examination will take place later to day.

The office of the State Pathologist has been notified.
