The Michael Jackson biopic is out in cinemas – will you go see it?

Reviews of the film have been less than favourable. Bad, even.

THE LONG-AWAITED MICHAEL Jackson biopic has arrived in Irish cinemas.

Starring Jackson’s nephew Jaafar, the film covers the early life of the American musician through to the late 1980s.

Early reviews of Michael have been less than glowing, with critics describing the film as “shallow” and “stilted”.

Many have noted that it fails to address the controversies surrounding Jackson, including allegations of child abuse made against him.

The Journal sent reporter Andrew Walsh to an early screening. His verdict? “The film is obsessed with imitation, but it’s not interested in insight.”

You can read his full review of the film here.

Of course, poor reviews won’t necessarily keep audiences away – many will still want to watch and make up their own minds.

So, today we’re asking: will you go to see the Michael Jackson biopic?
