Poll: How did Leo Varadkar get on in his first month in office?

The nation’s youngest-ever Taoiseach has had his share of ups and downs.

TODAY MARKS ONE month since Fine Gael TD Leo Varadkar took office as Taoiseach of the country.

Varadkar came into the office on a high after easily seeing off party rival Simon Coveney to secure the Fine Gael leadership.

In the 30 days since then, the nation’s youngest-ever Taoiseach has had his share of ups and downs.

Varadkar was scarcely in office when a political scandal began to mount over the appointment of former Attorney General Maire Whelan to the Court of Appeal.

Varadkar has butted heads with Fianna Fáil over this issue, as well as comments he made last week in relation to the Garda handling of the Jobstown case.

On the other side of the coin, he hosted Canadian leader Justin Trudeau and secured a place on the front cover of TIME Magazine (the European edition).

There have been various other high and low moments since Varadkar took office, but how do they all stack up?

Today we’re asking, How did Leo Varadkar get on in his first month in office?

Poll Results:

He had an okay month (3242)
He had a good month (2601)
He had a great month (1491)
He had a terrible month (1379)
He had a bad month (1177)
