This 71-year-old man had a calm, collected response to the floods

Sure you might as well use it for a spot of yoga.

PARTS OF THE country have been devastated by flooding after Storm Desmond at the weekend, and the worst is not over yet with more wet weather forecast.

Dozens of homes and businesses have been washed out.

However, one man in Galway took advantage of it, using it as a chance for a spot of yoga.

Tommy Bohan was pictured standing in the middle of his flooded garden, balancing on his head on the shores Ballyquirke Lake, Moycullen on Monday morning.

The image has been posted online by his son Joe.

“My dad is 71, does yoga, and goes on epic cycles with my mother,” he wrote in a Facebook post.

“Not surprising our kids are gymnasts and have that same sliver of madness that we adore.”

So when the back garden flooded yesterday morning and he ran out in wellies to stand on his head in the middle of flood it was no surprise.

“What was surprising is that my mother stood in the middle of the extended lake to take this photo.”

We need to be at least half as made as they are when we hit the later years.
