AN 18-YEAR-OLD woman is being described as in a critical condition this evening, after a crash in Dublin city centre.
It is understood that a male cyclist was involved in a collision with a female pedestrian on Gardiner Street at around 7pm this evening. Gardaí had previously said that the cyclist was female but have since confirmed it was a male in his 20s.
Both of them were taken to the nearby Mater Hospital, where the pedestrian’s condition is described as serious, gardaí said.
Gardiner Street is currently closed to traffic, and local diversions are in place.
