1. #INVESTIGATION: The Metropolitan Police is conducting an investigation after a woman was reportedly found beheaded in a garden in a north London.

2. #GAZA: A group of 13 MEPs, including three from Sinn Féin, was blocked from entering Gaza this morning. They were denied entry on grounds that their trip was not ‘directly concerned with humanitarian assistance’.

3. #APPEAL: Gardaí have issued a fresh appeal for information relating to the murder of 17-year-old Raonaid Murray. It is 15 years to the day since the Dublin teenager was murdered 500m from her home in south Dublin.  

4. #RADICAL MOVES: The European Central Bank has announced radical moves -including a cut in interest rates and a massive bond-buying programme - that will attempt to pump funds back into the real economy through injections of cash to the banking system.

5. #CLOSE CALL: A homeless man in Athlone escaped unharmed after almost being tipped into a bin truck.
