Second man (20s) arrested in connection with murder of Anthony Long in Mulhuddart

Anthony Long was seriously injured in an incident in Dublin 15 in the early hours of 3 July.

A MAN IN his 20s has been arrested in connection with the murder of Anthony Long in Mulhuddart.

The man was arrested on Friday 17 July and is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at a garda station in west Dublin.

Anthony Long, who was in his 40s, was seriously injured in an incident at Parslickstown Drive, Mulhuddart, Dublin 15, in the early hours of 3 July.

He was rushed to hospital and died two days later.

Darren McNamee (42), of Talbot Hall, Riverbank, Swords, north Dublin, appeared in court in connection with the murder of Long on Wednesday 15 July.

He is due to appear again via video link on 21 July.

Gardaí said that investigations are ongoing.
