THE WINNER OF Saturday night’s €8.7 million Lotto jackpot has come forward and arrangements are underway for them to collect their prize.

It was revealed yesterday that an Applegreen in an industrial estate in Dublin 12 sold the winning ticket.

Applegreen Ballymount on Ballymount Avenue in the M50 Business Park was where the lucky player bought their ticket.

Site director Tom Hevey said staff at the forecourt were “thrilled” to hear that one of its customers had purchased the ticket there.

“Applegreen Ballymount is a busy location with local and passing trade, so we hope that the winner checks their ticket soon – we wish them all the very best with their huge win!” he said.

National Lottery spokesperson Sarah Orr urged anyone who bought a Lotto ticket at Applegreen Ballymount on Saturday, 2 May to check their tickets carefully.

“The winner should sign the back of their ticket and contact our prize claims team as soon as possible,” she said.

The winning numbers were 01, 07, 27, 34, and 42, and the bonus was 26.
