HOMES AND BUSINESSES have been evacuated in an area of north Belfast following the discovery of a suspicious object near a police station.
British army bomb experts are examining the object found under a vehicle in Tennent Street and while homes and businesses in the area are being evacuated, the police station remains operational, the BBC reports.
The road in question has also been closed to motorists.
The incident comes as investigations continue into the car bomb which killed a PSNI officer on Saturday in Omagh, Co Tyrone.
