Dublin Fire Brigade has already attended 200 ambulance calls since the New Year
According to initial figures, Dublin Fire Brigade have responded to over 116,000 ambulance calls.
WE’RE ONLY IN the first few hours of 2017, and already Dublin Fire Brigade has responded to 200 ambulance calls.
The busy night is standard for the 1 January, which is one of the busiest nights of the year for the emergency services.
This year was no different for Dublin’s fire service, with a spokesperson saying that “there wasn’t a hope” for a quiet New Year’s Eve or New Year’s Day.
The first case that Dublin Fire Brigade filed for 2017 was “a fall in the Crumlin area”.
Rough annual figures compiled by the Fire Brigade’s database show that in total, they’ve responded to 116,634 ambulance calls, and 22,667 fire calls in 2016.
