Man charged over rape and assault of woman in Carlow
The woman, aged in her 50s, was found unconscious last weekend.
A MAN IN his 30s has been charged over the rape and assault of a woman in Carlow.
The woman, who is in her 50s, was found unconscious close to Pollerton Castle last Sunday afternoon.
She was taken to St Luke’s Hospital in Kilkenny. She suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
The man appeared before a special sitting of Carlow District Court today.
