A WEBSITE THAT aims to help people who are married or in a relationship to have “discreet encounters and extramarital affairs” made headlines this week as hackers threatened to release details of the site’s millions of users.

Ashley Madison has moved to ensure this sensitive data doesn’t enter the public domain.

The website has 37 million users, with recent estimates suggesting it has more than 100,000 people in Ireland seeking its services.
