1. THE HIGH COURT has been hearing from representatives for the unborn in the case of the pregnant woman being kept on life support. Senior counsel for the unborn told the court that it must be satisfied that there is no possibility of survival for the unborn before any act that would bring the life to an end.

2. PROTESTORS are clashing with police after black teenager Antonio Martin was shot dead by an officer just two miles from Ferguson, Missouri.

3. A WOMAN is in a critical condition after being knocked down by a lorry in Offaly , while an elderly man who was hit by a car on Monday in Dublin has died.

4. A TOTAL of 49 TDs and senators have joined an appeal to President Higgins to refer the Water Services Bill to the Supreme Court. There was an outbreak of #shade between Mary Lou McDonald of Sinn Féin and Thomas Byrne of Fianna Fáil over the request.
