LIKE IT OR not, Christmas shopping season is upon us.

Black Friday, originally a US phenomenon, is now worth over €100 million in sales in Ireland each year.

Now that the firing pistol has been sounded, the tills will be ringing and the streets packed with shoppers from now until 24 December.
