€500k worth of cocaine seized in garda raid at Dublin premises

This is the third significant drug seizure in Dublin in the last few days.

GARDAÍ YESTERDAY CARRIED out an operation targeting drug crime in Dublin, seizing a large quantity of cocaine during a search.

Officers from the Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau, assisted by Finglas gardaí, searched a premises at Coolquay, The Ward and found seven kilograms of cocaine with a street value of €500,000.

“This seizure is regarded as significant blow against criminals engaged in organised crime and it will seriously disrupt the illegal sale and supply of cocaine in the Dublin region,” gardaí said this morning.

This is the third significant drug seizure in Dublin in the last few days. On Friday, a man was arrested and €115,000 worth of cocaine was seized by gardaí from Store Street station, as well as mixing agents to make crack cocaine.

Two other men were also arrested Friday in connection with another seizure of €120,000 worth of cocaine and cannabis herb in south Dublin.

No arrests have been made in connection with yesterday’s seizure and gardaí said investigations are ongoing.
