Man in his 40s killed after being hit by truck in Cork city

The man was struck by the vehicle shortly after 11am today.

A MAN IN his 40s has died after being hit by a truck in Cork city centre.

The man was struck by the vehicle shortly after 11am today. The incident happened on the corner of Coburg Street and Bridge Street on the city’s northside.

The body of the man was taken to Cork University Hospital, where a post-mortem is currently underway.

Anyone who may have witnessed the incident is asked to contact Mayfield Garda Station on 021- 455 8510.
