Damage to overhead lines causes delays on Dart and commuter services

Disruption to services between Harmonstown and Howth/Malahide is expected to continue throughout the evening.

SERVICE HAS BEEN disrupted to DART and Commuter services between Harmonstown and Howth/Malahide due to damage to overhead power lines.

Iarnród Éireann has told TheJournal.ie that the northern line that serves Drogheda/Dundalk will be in service from 5pm with extra stops between Harmonstown and Malahide. A shuttle Dart  service will operating between Howth to Howth Junction and the Belfast train will be in operation also.

From 7.30pm the line will close again from Harmonstown to Malahide to allow repairs take place.

Dublin Bus are honouring rail tickets.

The Irish Rail website will be updated as further information is made available.
