Poll: Do you use bagged salad?

Give it to us straight. Honest answers only.

SALAD LEAVES THAT come washed, bagged and ready for the plate are handy to have in the fridge.

But there is also the possibility that you may have left such a bag – opened or otherwise – to disintegrate into green sludge in the veg drawer.

There was a warning from the UK government’s waste advisory body Wrap this week that 40% of bagged salad bought by British consumers goes to waste. That’s 37,000 tonnes, or 178 million bags.

One reason suggested for the waste is that consumers buy bagged salad without a particular recipe in mind so it is more likely to go unused than other ingredients.

So with that in mind, do YOU buy bagged salad?
