THE GARDA SIOCHÁNA Ombudsman Commission is investigating the death of a man in Drogheda today.
The commission said it is seeking witnesses to a fatal incident that occurred at North Strand, Drogheda early this morning.
The case was referred to the Garda Ombudsman because there had been some interaction between gardaí and the deceased prior to the discovery of his body.
The Garda Ombudsman is looking for anyone who may have seen a Silver Santa Fe jeep parked on the North Strand, Drogheda between the hours of approximately 5am and 7am to contact it at 1890 600 800.
The incident has been referred to the Garda Ombudsman by the Garda Commissioner in accordance with section 102 of the Garda Síochána Act, 2005.
