Taxi passenger killed after Dublin city crash

The driver was also injured.

A TAXI PASSENGER was killed and a driver injured following an early morning collision in Dublin city.

The incident occurred around 1.40am at the junction between the North Circular Road and Portland Row. It is understood the taxi collided with a car.

It left the passenger, in his 30s or 40s, dead and the driver with minor injuries. Both were taken to the Mater Hospital. The driver of the other car was uninjured.

The road at the scene has re-opened following an examination of the crash site by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.
