Man (30s) charged after €1.5m worth of cannabis seized in Dublin

A man in his 30s was arrested by An Garda Síochána and is currently detained under the provisions of Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act 2007 in a garda station in Dublin.

A MAN IN his 30s has been charged after around 75kg of herbal cannabis was seized in North Dublin in a joint operation between the Revenue Customs Service and Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau.

The suspected herbal cannabis has an estimated value of €1.5 million.

A man arrested in connection with the investigation has since been charged. He remains in garda custody.

He is expected to appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice on Monday morning, 25. May at around 10.30am.

Investigations remain ongoing.

Revenue Customs Service, in conjunction with An Garda Síochána, conducted three joint operations on 22 May, resulting in the seizure of controlled drugs with an estimated total value of €2.75 million.
