ARE YOU CURIOUS about the world around you?
Have you ever wanted to explore an interesting building you pass by every day? Or go through the keyhole of a home that’s for sale? Or even just find out more about your city neighbourhood?
If so, you’re in luck. Experience Your World is a very exciting new VR project on TheJournal.ie, created in partnership with KBC Bank and Daft.ie. Over the next year, we’ll be using the latest technology to make it possible for our readers to explore fascinating places in virtual reality.
You don’t need any special equipment. Just pick up your smartphone or laptop – and you’ll be able to explore some of Ireland’s most exciting landmarks in VR from your desk, Dart or duvet. Or if you’re a prospective home buyer, you can walk through properties on the market in real time without leaving your couch.
The first virtual reality experience is an exploration of Dublin’s world-famous Windmill Lane Recording Studios – start exploring here!
(If you’ve got a Google Cardboard or another VR viewer, you can have a fully immersive 3D experience.)
And if you’re looking for a bigger picture, don’t worry. We’re also creating a groundbreaking database of local neighbourhood guides, combining articles with previously unseen data from Daft.ie.
Look out for:
And get ready to experience your world in a new way. We hope you enjoy exploring!
