• Eurozone finance minsiters are meeting in Brussels this evening in a bid to strike a deal that will secure a bailout out for troubled Cyprus. Our own finance minister says it will be a long night which gives you time to read our 25-point crash course in the Cypriot crisis.
• A junior minister has admitted that the government made a “mess” of communicating the exemptions from the local property tax. Seán Sherlock also appeared to take a swipe at Environment Minister Phil Hogan.
• A youth charity funded by the HSE, SpunOut, has defended itself in the wake of criticism from a Fine Gael TD over its advice to teenagers that they could “spice up” their love lives by having a threesome.
• A man shot at an empty car in a north Dublin housing estate last night in an incident which gardaí are investigating.
• There have been over 1,000 submissions to the Constitutional Convention ahead of next month’s discussions about introducing same-sex marriage in Ireland.
• Mystery continues to surround the death of the Russian billionaire Boris Berezovsky but police have ruled-out any radiation poisoning following an examination of the house where the fierce Vladimir Putin critic was found dead yesterday.
