Former minister James Dooge dies at 88

FORMER FOREIGN AFFAIRS Minister James Dooge has passed away. Professor Dooge, who was 88, was a respected academic, a vocal member of the Seanad, and one of the key figures in the development of the European Union. He was appointed Minister for Foreign Affairs by Dr Garrett Fitzgerald in 1981.
