FSAI recalls expired turkey burgers over possible presence of Salmonella

People infected with Salmonella typically develop symptoms between 12 and 36 hours after infection, but this can range between 6 and 72 hours.

THE FOOD SAFETY Authority of Ireland has issued a warning to the public about turkey burgers due to the possibility they may contain Salmonella.

It has recalled the 400g pack size of Hogan’s Farm Turkey Burgers, with the use-by date of 26 July 2025.

The authority said that although this product is past its use by date, it is suitable for home freezing, so consumers are advised to check their freezers for the implicated batch.

Recall notices will be displayed at point-of-sale.
