Man tied up as home is robbed by burglars in Galway

The incident happened around 9.30pm last night when four men entered the man’s home, tied him up and took a small sum of cash.

A MAN WAS tied up and robbed of a small amount of cash by four men who burgled his home in Galway last night.

The four men, wearing balaclavas and gloves with one man armed with crow bar, broke into the house near the local church in Caherlistrane at around 9.30pm last night.

The four men tied up the man in his 60s and a small sum of cash was taken. Gardaí say the man was left uninjured but shaken by the incident.

One of burglars was wearing jeans and a blue tracksuit top with faded white writing on the front and jeans, two others were wearing dark tops with jeans and the fourth man was tall and thin, wearing all black clothes.

Gardaí have appealed for witnesses who may have been in the vicinity of Caherlistrane between 9pm and midnight last night and who saw anything suspicious to get in touch with them,
