Gilmore to meet with Vatican ambassador today

THE TÁNAISTE WILL meet with the Vatican’s Papal Nuncio Giuseppe Leanza today it has been confirmed. Eamon Gilmore will discuss the findings of the report into clerical sex abuse in the Cork diocese of Cloyne with Taoiseach Enda Kenny saying that the view the Vatican took of the allegations was absolutely disgraceful. He added that his deputy would speak very directly to the Vatican’s ambassador to Ireland, RTÉ reports.
